About
Classroom CLUEs (Children’s Literature for Understanding Economics) is a website designed to help teachers find books to teach economic concepts to elementary students. Each book on this website has been hand-picked and annotated by economic educators to highlight the economics and offer ideas for using the books in the classroom. The site is searchable by keyword, author, title, grade level, related curricular subject, and/or economic concept.

Classroom CLUEs was launched in 2008 supported by funding from the Calvin K. Kazanjian Economics Foundation, and developed by the University of Kansas Center for Economic Education. Center staff continue to add book annotations and accept new book suggestions through the “Submit a Book” feature of the site. We also encourage visitors to the site to add their own comments or lesson ideas through the “Teacher Tips” feature on each book entry.
