Caps for Sale
A peddler walks up and down the street with about 17 caps stacked on his head, saying “Caps! Caps for sale! fifty cent caps!” The peddler did not sell the caps therefore did not have money to buy lunch. He got tired and decided to take a nap under a tree. When he woke up he noticed that only one cap remained on his head. Monkeys in the tree took the caps while he was taking a nap. The peddler got angry that the monkeys took his caps then the monkeys gave back all his caps. After he piled all the caps back on his head, he continued to walk around town selling the caps.
