If You Lived With the Sioux Indians
Ann McGovern; Scholastic 1992
This beautifully illustrated book is very informative about what it was like to live as a Sioux Indian in North and South Dakota during the years 1800 to 1850. It is sympathetic toward the Indians and their relationship with white people. Questions in the text bring out the ways that these Indians used the available natural, capital, and human resources to produce the goods and services that would satisfy their economic wants.
