This book has many economic terms and vocabulary that would be fun for students to find. Depending on the age of the students, you could have the whole class search for words they have learned about money, or older students could work in pairs or teams to find words in the story. The economic words should be written and tallied as the students search the book.
A fun way to see the vocabulary would be to then put the words, typed the number of times they appeared into a Wordle. Wordles are word clouds generated on the computer and the size of the word will depend on the number of times it appears in the text. Students could type in the number of times a word appears, thus giving them practice seeing and spelling the economic ters. teams could then design their own “wordle” of economic terms used in the story.
