This retelling of the legend of John Henry who could run faster than a man on horseback and who won a contest with a steam drill in cutting through a mountain. John Henry could swing his hammers, his capital resources, so fast that he could remove boulders for the road building crew and cut through a mountain for a railroad building crew.
