Day of Ahmed’s Secret, The
Ahmed is a young boy just strong enough to drive his donkey cart through the crowded and colorful streets of Cairo to deliver canisters used in gas stoves. Since the canisters called butzgaz, are heavy, Ahmed is proud to be able to help his family financially by doing this job. Ahmed is so excited on this day to tell his family his secret when he returns home: it’s an important step in his education.
