A poor shoemaker has only enough leather to make only one shoe. With the help of secret elves, the shoes are so perfect that they sell for double the price. the shoemaker is able to buy more leather and each night they are made into more beautiful shoes. The shoemaker and his wife do not know about the elves, but when they discover them, they thank them for their help by making them warm shoes and clothes on their own. The shoemaker and hos wife now life happily and are never poor again.
