Little Match Girl, The
A young girl is asked to go out on a cold New Year’s Eve and sell matches to make money for her family. She loses her slippers and finds a quiet cold corner. She lights her matches one at a time and sees happy and joyful visions. She would not dare go home because she had not sold any matches.
