Three Little Javelinas, The
Susan Lowell; Northland Pub. 1992
This southwestern adaptation of “The Three Little Pigs” shows the three javelinas building their houses out of these resources: tumbleweeds, sticks, and adobe bricks. The sneaky coyote huffed and puffed and blew down the easily produced houses made of tumbleweeds and sticks. The two javelinas escaped and ran to their sister’s solid adobe house. After another encounter with the coyote, the javelinas stick together and live happily ever after.
