Two Tickets to Freedom

The story begins in 1848 when Ellen Craft, a bright skinned young slave, disguises herself in men’s clothing and walks into the train station in Georgia to purchase two tickets, one for herself and the other for her husband. Ellen posed as a white Southern planter, and her husband, William as her slave. This is how their dangerous journey begins and takes them to England and eventually back to Georgia. They have to make tough decisions fighting for a better life.
